Why I Like Graphic Arts
There's a lot I like about graphic arts, but mostly I think it's because it offers the best of both worlds: a time-honored craft with a rich history (Ben Franklin was a printer, ya know), as well as a fast-paced technology which offers a really exciting future. Also, I like to be creative and I have a minor need for organization, which some might refer to as "obsessive-compulsive." Graphic arts can sometimes be a lot like organized artwork, or taking a creative and aesthetically-pleasing design and preparing it so that it looks as good as it can while being reproduced for the masses.
Hobbies, Trivia and Other Oddities
 I collect Pez dispensers. The last time I organized and counted them (see "obsessive-compulsive" reference above) there were around 100. Also, since I was a little kid I liked to read ghost stories and other paranormal type stuff. Ghost story books were actually how I learned to read, so I guess it just stuck. Because of this, and the fact that my husband is an enormous horror movie addict, I seem to know a whole lot of horror movie trivia. Other interests are music, which I have a pretty varied liking for (except country - sorry Dad). I guess my favorite band for now is Jane's Addiction. I've also been able to take up the guitar again and it's coming along pretty well for being left cold for about five years, so that's encouraging.
